Weekly reflection - WEEK 1 of PHASE 2

     Phase 2 of teaching practice for 4th semester started now. This was our first week. Like the last phase which ended last week, the new week began. Like  earlier we were a group of four members Vidya V, Arathy B, Mekha s Madhu and myself Anjana Subhash. We got the same school KRGPM VHSS and HSS Odanavattam for our 2 nd phase teaching practice. It was a wonderful experience overall.

    Students missed us a lot, they expressed their feelings. Teachers and headmaster were happy to see us. District kalolsavam was happening so students were on their practices and all. Many students were absent most of the days. Yet we wanted to complete our portions. Teachers were also on duty so we were asked to manage almost all classes from UP to HS. It was overall a nice experience.

    All these days we had almost a regular routine. We reached school by 9:30  in the morning. Signed the attendance register and went to the room assigned for us.From there we planed for our classes. All days I had my class at 8D in the first period. Also we got many substitution periods as well.

Internship 2 - day 1

                          

 Today was the day 1 of our teaching practice, as part of our 2 year B.Ed curriculum. It was the first day of our face two of teaching practice.

   Where is the school at 9:30 a.m. we went directly to meet our headmaster. Handed over our attendance register which was given from our college. After signing the register we communicated with her headmaster later we went to meet or mentor teacher and directly went to our place. Then we went to our concern classes. As usual I had class at 8 D in the first period. Time was from 10:00-10:45 am. Today we didn't get any extra classes. We left the school at 3:45 p.m.

Weekly reflection - week 9

 Last week 

This was the last week of our third sem School internship program. We had lots of work to do in this week. Moreover the Sub District kalolsavam has started. Colours was conducted on the dates 18, 19,20 and 21. Students were busy with their final rehearsals. Teachers were also busy, as they go to duties for kalolsavam. So we had to take all the classes. Our internship program ended on Wednesday. UP classes were given holiday due to kalolsavam on Wednesday.

18/11/2024 Monday 

  The number of teachers and  the students were less today we had to take classes in 8th & 9th throughout the day. So we didn't get any free time today.

Day 39

19/11/2024 Tuesday 

 Midterm exam ended yesterday. I collected the papers and corrected it( for my class 8D). I gave the corrected papers to my students and gave the mark list to my mentor teacher. I  completed the chapter which I was taking today. My portions were almost complete. In the next face I have to begin the next new chapter.

Day 40

20/11/2024 Wednesday 

This was the last day of our school internship of semester 3. We after the regular class met our mentor teacher and then our headmaster. From our headmaster we got our attendance register signed and sealed, got our lesson plans signed. Then after all our duties we left the school at 3:30pm.

Innovative lesson plan

 Date 20/11/2024,Wednesday.

Today marked the last day - day 40 of our first phase of teaching practice. As part of her 2 year B.Ed curriculum we had to participate in this internship program. Today I planned to take my class in a new and innovative way. For that I prepared an innovative lp prior to my class. 

 Apart from the common lesson plans I tried to bring something different in this lesson. The lesson was from the chapter construction of quadrilateral. The specific topics was quadrilateral,the last session of the chapter. I took the class in a role play model. Divided the  students in the class in 4 to 5 groups with 4or5 students each in each group. Asked them to play the roles of engineer,architect,survivor and quality inspector. Each of the member from each group were assigned each roles and performed well. The class was really interactive All students participated and put their maximum effort.

 Day 33

 11/11/2024 Monday 

 Today we reached school at 9:30 am. I had first period class at 8D. So after the morning prayer I went for my class. I took the class as usual. My mentor teacher was present in the class for some time she observed my classes. Today I didn't get too much substitutions.

Day 34

12/11/2024 Tuesday 

Today as usual we reached school at 9:30 am. After prayer I went for my regular class. My period was from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. Then I had periods in 9B and 9C. After that we got some free time to do our works. After that at 4:00 pm when all our works were completed we left the school 

Day 35

13/11/2024 Wednesday 

Today like any other day we came to school at 9:30. I had my class at 1st period. Mid term exam began today. At around the time of 10:30 am. DEO came for school visit. Afternoon there was 2 examination for the students

Midterm exam.

Today there were 3 exams.we got exam duties. Moreover I had my regular class at 8 D in the first period.

CONSCIENTISATION PROGRAM - DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE SIMULATION.

 Date :11/11/2024 (Monday )

 As part of our 2 year B.Ed curriculum we had to organise a conscientisation program on our school KRGPM VHSS and HSS Odanavattam during our 1st phase of teaching practice.

Vedio of our program 

 The topic for the conscientisation program was "disaster preparedness and response simulation ". The program was arranged on 11th November 2024 Monday. Time was at 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.

       We a group of four members me,Megha Arathy and Vidya conducted the program for class 8 c and 8 d students.

  Team roles and contributions :

Anjana (me)- delivered the introductory session outlining the objectives and significance of the program also summarised and concluded the program by emphasizing key takeaways.

Vidya - presented and informative video that explain various aspects of disaster management highlighted real life examples and best practices for disaster response.

Mekha - provided a detail explanation of disaster preparedness focusing on the risk assessment Resource Planning and emergency protocols.

 Arathy - shown a demo of the concept with help of an animation video which we made together including first aid practices evaluation techniques and resource utilisation.

 Day 28

4/11/2024 Monday 

Today as usual we went to school at 9:30 am, signed our attendance register and went to our place. We planned for our classes. I had first period at 8 d. I conducted the diagnostic test in my first period. Later we got substitutions. After all the works and duties were over we left the school by 4:00 pm.

Day 29

5/11/2024 Tuesday 

Today was our optional observation day 2.Also today marked the day 28 of our school internship program. Like any other day I reached school at 9:30 signed the attendance register and went to our room. Then after getting prepared for the class I went to the class before the bell at 10 am. I took my lesson plan well as I prepared. It was a constructivist model lesson plan. Students supported well. They were really active. Teacher gave me positive comments. It was a good day. Teacher went for second observation class at 8C to see Arathy 's class. Then third hour class was of Vidya 's. After all the observations teacher met our mentor teachers and then left the school by 12:30 pm. Later we got substitution periods. Then after all our work we left the school at 4:00 pm.

6/11/2024 Wednesday 

 Today as usual we reached the school by 9:30 a.m. signed the attendance register and went to our room and planned for our class. Then I went for my class. I had class in the first period in class 8D. I took a new lesson plan. In the second period I got substitution in the same classes so I could take one more lesson there. In the afternoon session we got some free time I used  the time to plan for my next  lessons. Later by 4:00 p.m. when the works were completed, we signed the attendance register and left the school.

7/11/2024 Thursday 

Today like other days I had classes in 8D in the first period. I didn't get any extra periods in the class. But I got substitution periods in 9th classes. In the afternoon session we conducted an NMS exam for 9th class students.

8/11/2024 Friday 

Today as usual we reached School by 9:30 a.m. I had my class at 8d in the first period which was from 10 to 10:45 a.m. that I got only two substitution periods. In the morning and noon session I got some free time. I would like to time to do my works.
