Weekly reflection - week 4

This was the fourth week of our teaching practice. Monday we had observation from a General teacher  Arun Sir. First period was mine. Me and all my peers had classes before lunch break. After that sir went back. Tuesday we had Observation for yoga class. Lal sir came for observation. Wednesday there was an achievement test for class 9 students. The test was  conducted by us supervised by the teachers. On Thursday we had a program named  Teen program which mainly focused on the Mendel health of teenage students. It was a part of our concentration program. The class we are organised by us. Friday was a normal regularl day.

 Day 14

14 th October 2024 Monday 

It was our general reflection day all four of us had observation classes today. First period was mine. Second was of Vidya, third Mekha and fourth period was of Arathy.

we had our general teachers observation class arranged at our school. We reached there at 9:20 am. After signing the register we waited for our concern general teacher Arun sir to come. He came at 9:50 am. After meeting our HM he came directly to observe our class.

  First class was mine at 10:00-10:45 am at 8 D class. I took the remaining portion of my lesson. It was the final concept part of the chapter "product of sum and difference " from the chapter Identities. I arranged the subject matter to be taught in a sequential order. I have prepared and included changes in my lessons. I tried my best to improve my class. He gave his value able instructions after thethw class finished. Later second hour was at 8 B for Vidya, 3 rd hour was at 8 C for Megha and fourth hour was Arathy's in 8 C. All the observation classes ended by around 1:00 pm. He after giving all the good suggestions reached the office and signed the register and left the school 

Later we had classes. We didn't get any free time today. Overall it was a good day. We took part in the midday meal also helping the teachers.

 After all our classes and duties, by 4:00 pm we left the school after signing the register.

Day 15

15 th October 2024, Tuesday 

We had our general class hours. I had first period at 8 th D. In the third period our physical education Sir, Mr. LalMohan M came for our yoga's observation. We performed well.It was on our 5th period.Time was from 1:45 to 2:20 pm.  We gave our lesson plan, arranged the class, explained the steps and benefits of the asanas which were given to us to demonstrate, then each of us did a demo of each asanas in two different positions. We made the students observe the asana done by us,later made them do them by themselves. We corrected their mistakes. Sir gave positive comments and pointed out some minute mistakes. Students were cooperative and performed well.

  There was a general pledge for all students as it was food day tomorrow and hand wash day today. The pledge was at 11:00 am. Later in the 6th period we have to conduct NMS exam for class 9th students.

Day 16 

16 th October 2024,Wednesday.

As usual we reached school at 9:30 am. I had class at 8D later  I got extra periods in the same class. In between got some free time. We utilized the time to write our reflective journal. I almost completed a chapter in 8th standard.

Day 17

17th October 2024,Thursday 

As usual we reached the school at 9 :30 am. I had first period at 8 D. In addition I got substitution periods at the 4th period. Today I started a new lesson "Money Math".

  In the second period there was a class arranged for class 9 students. The time was from 11:00-12:30.All students from 9 th A, B& C division attended the class. The class aimed to focus on the mental health of teenage students. Since 10 th October was world Mental Health day and the week is celebrated as mental health week. The resource person was Mr. John Lucas from BVET center, Chathannoor. He delivered the concept effortlessly in an interesting way. Students were happy to attend the class.

Day 18

18/10/2024 Friday 

As a usual day we reached school at 9:30 am. Signed the attendance register. Then went to our place. I had 1st period class in 8 D. Today I conducted a test based on the chapter I competed. They attended well. Later I got 2 extra periods in the same class. The periods was at the 2nd and 3rd period. I completed a lesson plan on money math. Then I checked their notes.I got classes in 9 th standard also. After all the work we left the school at 4:00 pm.
